Obama is happy about the 8.5% unemployment figures. And so is the media. Could the re-election process be this year? But, how are these figures calculated? Read on...

President Obama has claimed success. He has hailed the latest jobs report as “real progress” for the economy.
We have waited years for this “real progress” to happen. Real progress is an unemployment rate of 8.5 percent. Real progress is the more than 13 million still out of work. Real progress is the 18.2 percent underemployed (total unemployed and discouraged workers). Heck, real progress is the 1.4 million homes lost to foreclosure (and counting).

Read the whole thing for examples of how the media is helping Obama claim success. I’m sure they will fail to mention that there are now far fewer Americans in the labor force than when Obama took office, and if not for so many simply giving up the unemployment rate would be much higher. In short, the economy still sucks.

The following report is based on the work of statistician John Williams of shadowstats.com.
Today’s (Friday, January 6) payroll jobs report of 200,000 new jobs in December is overstated by at least 82,000 jobs. As approximately 130,000 new jobs are needed each month to stay even with population growth, the December job figures actually indicate that the US economy fell another 12,000 jobs behind.
Forty-two thousand of the reported jobs are the result of a glitch in the BLS seasonal adjustment model that produces a false jump in December “couriers and messengers” jobs.
Forty thousand of the jobs result from the “birth/death” model that BLS uses to estimate the net effect of unreported jobs lost from business closures and jobs gained from new start-ups. The model is structured to represent normal times. During the bottom bouncing of this protracted downturn, the model over-estimates new jobs from start-ups and under-estimates job losses from business failures.
The official unemployment rates (U3 and U6) no longer measure all of the unemployed. The Clinton administration ceased counting as unemployed workers who had given up looking for a job for one year or longer. No discouraged workers are included in the widely reported U3 measure. The U6 measure includes workers who have been discouraged for less than one year.
In other words, the longer an economy is in the doldrums, the less the official unemployment rates are reliable measures of the extent of unemployment. The unemployment rate in December as measured by U3 is 8.5%; as measured by U6 which includes short-term discouraged workers (less than one year) is 15.2%. John Williams’ measure which includes the long-term unemployed is 22.4%.
In other words, the real unemployment rate is 2.6 times the widely reported U3 rate, which is the rate emphasized by policymakers and the financial press.

Her Royal Highness Michelle Obama will appear in an upcoming episode of the Nickelodeon show iCarly. In the children’s program, which airs on January 16, the character Sam Puckett calls her “Your Excellency.” When a friend corrects Sam, Michelle responds, “No, no, I kinda like it.”

Hollywood writers managed to capture the truth about our first lady. She seems to share the same philosophy as Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee, D-TX, who once told her staffers,, “I am a queen, and I demand to be treated like a queen.” She vacations in splendor, often spending long periods of time away from her husband in the watchful care of handsome, well-built members of the Secret Service.

She reminds us of one royal queen: Marie Antoinette.

In the summer of 2010, she spent $145,000 flying Air Force 747s to her Spanish vacation. She shelled out an additional $95,000 in hotel costs — for the Secret Service alone. She and Barry scooted off to Martha’s Vineyard this summer, renting a home for 10 days for the cost of a mere $50,000 of your dollars.

Occupy Movement Comes to Virginia Elementary Schools

Most of us have children or grandchildren that attend public school. I have a grand-daughter in 2nd grade in the Henrico public school system. I was a little rankled when the principal mentioned Kwanzaa at the Christmas assembly. Opps! That was the winter play.

Keeping politics out of government run schools requires constant vigilance. In recent years, political ideology has been brazenly imposed on students across the country. Woodbrook Elementary School in Charlottesville, Virginia, provides the latest example of a government school imposing left wing ideology, this time with the Marxist rhetoric of the Occupy movement.

Woodbrook Elementary, (principal Lisa Molinaro), allowed leftist activists into the school to train third graders in writing songs which were performed at an assembly organized by an outside group – Kid Pan Alley – in October of this year. The tune the 3^rd graders “wrote” and performed could have come from the soundtrack at Zuccotti park, minus the drug overdoses and rapes.

Remember, these are third graders. The simplistic left wing economic nonsense of this ditty boggles the mind. But to an impressionistic third grader, it plants poisonous seeds at odds with long egalitarian American traditions that disdain class hatred. It mocks American traditions of industry, hard work and accomplishment. It teaches the young to distrust and dislike, which of course is a tactic employed by thug cultures and governments throughout history.

Kid Pan Alley’s infiltration into government schools goes well beyond Woodbrook Elementary in Charlottesville. They have a presence in Payne Elementary in Lynchburg (VA), Union Elementary in Montpelier (VT), Campbell Court Elementary in Martinsville (VA), Burnley Elementary in Charlottesville (VA), Thompson Elementary in Marshall (VA), Pierce Elementary in Remington (VA), Red Hill Elementary in Virginia, Brownsville Elementary in Crozet (VA), and many many more.

When you consider the leftist activists who introduced this garbage into Woodbrook Elementary, the agenda is even more clear. Kid Pan Alley receives money from the William and Mary Greve Foundation.

The Greve Foundation funds many other causes at odds with American traditions, including the American Society for Muslim Advancement, which is run by a 9-11 conspiracy theorist. The Greve Foundation is headed by John Kiser, III, author of Communist Entrepreneurs : Unknown Innovators in the Global Economy. (From a review: “the book is of value in confronting tired stereotypes about the inherent inferiority of technology under Communism.”) Kiser is from Sperryville, Virginia, which might explain why so many Virginia elementary schools.

You can watch Kid Pan Alley’s video “If I Change One Thing” here for another whiff of Occupy. The kids sing the answer: “If I could change one thing, I’d change all the rules. Freedom would be free. I’d be my own boss no matter what the cost.” Sort of like a mob.

The nonsense continues in the song: “What if kids could vote, its love that sets us free, when everyone has what they needed. There would be no more war. Yeah, that’s what kids are for.”

Kid Pan Alley is also skilled at messaging in subtle ways. It’s not often you find such veiled disdain for this group of heroes. From Kid Pan Alley’s Changing the History of the World: “Each generation adds to the history of the world, each generation does it’s part, it doesn’t have to be winning World War II.” Why choose the Greatest Generation as a contrast? Was it because the contrast between liberty and tyranny was so stark then, so clear to most Americans in that age? Was it because moral relativism had few adherents among those who won World War II?

I’ve just scratched the surface of Kid Pan Alley in this article. There is no telling what other subtle and obvious leftist messages are bring brought into government schools by Kid Pan Alley’s musical projects. Does Kid Pan Alley receive any taxpayer money? If so from whom, and how much? What bureaucrats are making the decisions to fund this presence in schools throughout the country? What are the backgrounds of the board members?

There will be many twists before the Iowa Caucus on Monday night. The Bachmann campaign claims that their former Iowa State Chair was paid by Ron Paul's campaign to switch allegiance AND a political action committee which had planned to support Bachman has defected to Romney.

Romney describes healthcare as a conservative principle. Rick Santorum turns on Ron Paul and the Republicans are asking if the Democrats are using Paul to create primary election chaos.

All caucus participants arrive at their precincts where they will sign in at the door upon arrival. Caucuses will begin at 7:00PM CT.

The caucus meetings begin with the pledge of allegiance. A caucus chair and secretary will be elected by the body to run the meeting and take notes.
After the chair and secretary are elected, candidate representatives from each campaign are given time to speak on behalf of their candidate.
Once the speakers have finished, sheets of paper are be passed out to every registered Iowa Republican from the precinct. Voters then write down their candidate preference.
All votes are then collected.
Every vote is counted. The caucus chair and secretary will count the votes in front of the caucus and a representative from each campaign is allowed to observe the counting of the votes. The results are recorded on an official form provided by the Republican Party of Iowa and are announced to the caucus.
A caucus reporter is chosen to report the results to the Republican Party of Iowa, accompanied by campaign representatives to verify the results reported to Iowa GOP officials.
RPI officials do not count results; they aggregate them from around the state and report them to the media. To ensure consistency in reporting, campaign representatives have the opportunity to be present with RPI officials as votes are reported to the public.
We will be reporting the votes for Michele Bachmann, Herman Cain, Newt Gingrich, Jon Huntsman, Ron Paul, Rick Perry, Buddy Roemer, Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum, “No Preference,” and “Other.”
“No Preference” votes include those who vote “present,” “no preference, “uncommitted,” or “none of the above.”

A Bridge Back To George Allen

It is comments like this that has prompted me to write this post. Actually, I have been mulling this over for sometime, I am “pick your battles” type person, but decide it was time to talk. Here is another comment I received in an email from someone who says they are a patriot and a staunch support of Jamie Radtke.

“[George Allen] voted for new entitlement programs and sat by as spending increased $16,000.00 per second for the six years he served.”

Oddly enough the very next day, after I received this email, the DSCC (Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee) was tweeting this exact statistic. Do you REALLY think they are attacking George Allen for spending too much?... more like it was too little.

And then there is constant proclamation, “I don’t understand how a patriot can support George Allen?” and then the name calling of “republican lap dog”. It is o.k. everyone is entitled to their opinion and I can take some name calling. I will probably have a few lobbed at me after this post.

My question is, Why would strong conservatives put out clever sound bite statistic that is touted by the liberal democrat and our ultimate opponent in a general election. I would ask, have you taken the time to figure the “per second” rate of debt that Tim Kaine left in Virginia. It seems to me as a conservative and a patriot that would have made better use on my time. Or if you did not figure that statistic then where did you get it, from Tim Kaine, or worst Radtke’s campaign.

Let me start with the fact the U.S. Senate is not an elected office you want a newbie politician, someone who has never held office. With the exception of Jim Webb, who DID have an extensive career in public service and money, it is usually former Governors who run for, and win the Virginia U.S. Senate. The reason they are intimately familiar with Virginia and Virginia law. As most patriots know the Senate is where our founding fathers intended for the more experienced politician to give a voice to the states. It would be easy for someone who does not have this first hand knowledge to get easily manipulated into supporting something that may seem constitutional or the “right” thing to do in theory, but not good for Virginia at all. None of the other candidates in the republican primary, that I am aware of, had held elected office, but many are claiming “constitutional conservatives”. It is a nice claim to make and it sounds good in speeches, but they have no record or resume’ to back it up.

Last spring when the candidates were starting to make the rounds this article in the American Spectator stated:

[George Allen] is no Mike Castle or Charlie Crist. Instead he's the governor who reformed welfare and abolished parole, the senator who voted for tax cuts and promoted conservative judges (including, as he is quick to point out, Henry Hudson, the Virginia jurist who ruled against Obamacare). Allen's campaign pitch is filled with references to balanced budgets and the line-item veto, and he is particularly sharp on energy policy. George Allen's sins against conservatism were ones widely committed by George W. Bush-era Republicans.

At the end of the article, James Antle ask:

So could the 2006 winner of the Conservative Political Action Conference presidential straw poll now be considered too moderate to nominate for the U.S. Senate? It's difficult to see that happening, and Allen is working hard to make sure it doesn't.

Whoa, wait a minute; George Allen won the 2006 CPAC Straw poll for Presidential Candidate in 2008 a full 2 points over John McCain. I would have gladly race to the polls to vote for Allen over McCain any election day. I would also like to add, this happened at the end of Senator Allen’s first term. So conservatives “loathed” Allen so much they wanted him to be president.

George Allen can defend his record against Tim Kaine, but the other republican primary candidates are actually helping Tim Kaine. At this stage in the game, if there was a serious republican primary challenger they would be polling neck and neck with Allen, both in the polls and in fundraising. It is just not happening.

While I did not agree with the timing of the recent senate debate hosted by the A.P. Yes, they should have waited until after the primary. I am not really surprised by it. This thought, from my cynical side, crossed my mind: We all suspect that main stream media of liberal biased, right? Well, what if the timing of the A.P. debate was done on purpose. What do I mean by that? I mean, they knew that the tea party activist who supported the “anti-Allen” candidates would cry fowl and make waves about it. And that is exactly what happened. But the truth is the A.P. knows what most politicos know that is to be a serious contender in this race at this point you need at least here: To get an invite candidates must have averaged at least 15 percent in published polls and raised at least 20 percent of the amount of money raised by their party's front runner. This was the requirement to be involved in the debate. That is a pretty low bar and none of the other candidates from the republican side or the democrat side were able to meet that. But you did not hear the democrats crying fowl or attacking Tim Kaine, if they did the media sure did not cover it.

This leads me to my last point, for those who where truly dissatisfied with Allen’s performance as Senator, you have had 6 years to find a primary challenger that was up for the task. Many tea party people were involved with their local republican committees long before the tea party. Who did you have in mind to run against Jim Webb had he not retired? Well that question may have already been answered. My support for Allen is because he can and will do a good job representing me and the state of Virginia in the U.S. Senate. And YES! I am a patriot.

Obama's Dictatorship Is Almost Complete

Our Senate voted for our Military to detain American citizens for as long as they want, without charges, without representation, without trial… if they suspected of being a terrorist. Define 'terrorist' for me.

Americans could be gathered up and placed at GITMO for a ‘mystery’ terrorist reason decided by the military front and directed by Obama or any other power hungry President. It is all kosher and approved by the Senate and President now. Naturally, Obama is threatening a veto, of course that hits the airwaves to soften this traitorous ruling against the American people. For a short while he must be the good cop and the Senate must be the bad cop for his controlling scheme.

If a person is a real suspect or potential terrorist, authorities need to have some evidence, probable cause and then charges, not just a vague accusation, one hearing then throw them into a dungeon and toss the key into the ocean.

Perhaps, the way we are going we should study the Government structure of former Communist Russia and see if we might find some improvements for our collapsing system. If not that, maybe we should all form some‘American Camp’ unions so we could have representation as to how our internment rooms might look at the various camps we are assigned to. Can we wear certain colors in our uniforms, have special meals and visit our dogs on the weekends? Can I have bug spray for my bunk…assuming I have one?

He has been developing camps, and circling the control wagons by establishing things like the counsel of Governors. Obama developed his congress evading czars, giving him dozens of unconstitutional arms flowing and showering controls where ever he wanted and completely bypassing congress.

The lawyers, CIA counsel Stephen Preston and Pentagon counsel Jeh Johnson, said U.S. citizens don’t have immunity when they’re at war with the United States.

And he don’ need no stinkin’ judges, but here’s where it gets interesting:

Johnson said only the executive branch, not the courts, is equipped to make military battlefield targeting decisions about who qualifies as an enemy.

So Obama doesn’t need judicial oversight to have an American killed on a “military battlefield.” And there’s the rub. A new law is winding its way through Congress that redefines what a “battlefield” is:

There are several very revealing aspects to all of this. First, the 9/11 attack happened more than a decade ago; Osama bin Laden is dead; the U.S. Government claims it has killed virtually all of Al Qaeda’s leadership and the group is “operationally ineffective” in the Afghan-Pakistan region; and many commentators insisted that these developments would mean that the War on Terror would finally begin to recede. And yet here we have the Congress, on a fully bipartisan basis, acting not only to re-affirm the war but to expand it even further: by formally declaring that the entire world (including the U.S.) is a battlefield and the war will essentially go on forever.

The confluence of these two would permit an American President to order the termination of any American he deemed to be necessary. He would not have to consult with Congress nor seek judicial oversight nor even make such an event public.

This post is for the 80% of Henrico conservatives who ignored their duty and did not vote in the November elections. It is also for the Republican party for not getting out the vote. And 'thank you' Matt Geary for not stepping down. Shame.

Now, for all of the conservatives/tea partiers out there dividing the vote, read below what is happening in Henrico. This is what will happen statewide if we do not come together and win in a conservative front in Virginia politics next year. If you want to be involved in politics, do not divide the vote.

We no longer have bi-partisan politics. It is about conquer and divide and that's just what Shannon Taylor is doing in the Commonwealth Attorney's office.

Shannon Taylor has purged seven career prosecutors in the Henrico County Commonwealth’s Attorney office.

Incoming Henrico Commonwealth’s Attorney Shannon Taylor will remove the top echelon of prosecutors in the office and bring in three new attorneys for her management team, one from Goochland County and two from Richmond.
The moves announced by the newly elected prosecutor yesterday wipe out more than 150 years of cumulative experience in the office, not including veteran Commonwealth’s Attorney Wade A. Kizer, who did not run for re-election and joined the office in 1986.
…..”I want to reduce the bureaucracy and be more hands-on,” Taylor said in a press release. “I will be integrally involved with the cases and with the attorney work in the office. I believe the best way to effect this is to remove this layer of bureaucracy.”
But Kizer described the losses as unprecedented in the region and said those let go “are handling some of the most important cases presently in the office.”
…..Taylor said she is keeping Deana Malek, Michael V. Gerrard and Michael C. Huberman as key deputies and is bringing to her leadership team Thomas L. Johnson Jr. and Toni Randall, both veterans of the Richmond prosecutor’s office. Goochland prosecutor Nancy Oglesby is also among the six lawyers in Taylor’s top layer.
Johnson volunteered in an interview this week that his law license was suspended for four years beginning in 2004. State Bar documents show that he had improperly accepted money as a court-appointed defense attorney in a drug case and then promised another defendant to “more zealously represent” him for an increased fee.
…..Both Johnson and Randall are black, a factor in keeping with Taylor’s campaign promise to bring more people of color into the office so that it better reflects Henrico’s racial makeup.

Taylor claims to be removing a layer of bureaucracy. She really shouldn’t even try to make it appear anything other than it is, the politicization of the office.

Another sign George Allen is the inevitable GOP Senate nominee: an opponent's campaign manager is stepping aside.

And Bearing Drift posted that Dave Johnson, has been floating his resume around unsolicited to various firms in Richmond.

Jamie Radtke’s campaign is $85,472 in debt and only $43,163 on hand as of the last FEC filing. Radtke’s campaign has been floundering by Tea Party infighting, polls in the single digits, and an unwillingness to debate anyone but former Governor George Allen to the point of sidestepping a Shenandoah Tea Party debate last month.

This weekend the Republicans Party of Virginia will be the Advance (Republicans don't retreat) in Homestead Resort, in Hot Springs, Virginia. Here's a youtube about the Advance.

Hundreds (the resort and surrounding hotels are full) of Tea Party activists, Republicans, candidates and elected officials will gather to celebrate the 2011 victories, train for future elections, and plan for the critical Presidential, Senatorial and Congressional races of 2012.

There are 15 breakout/training sessions and politicians, candidates and political organizations host hospitality suites. If you are interested in Virginia politics this is the place to be seen. However, Radtke is not having a suite and she's not even getting a $100 table in the lobby. She retreating to Natural Bridge High School with only several other Tea Party leaders.

The press release lists some 100 or so names of tea party activists, organizers and leaders who support Allen’s candidacy for Senate.

The press release provoked an immediate response by the Northern Virginia Tea Party and Virginia Tea Party Federation, one of the largest coalitions of tea party groups in the state. The federation claims to have approximately 40-50 legitimate groups in its membership, most of whom do not endorse or support George Allen. The group pushed out the following statement in response to George Allen’s release.

The Northern Virginia Tea Party has rebuked a George Allen campaign announcement which has implied that they and the state federation of Tea Party Patriots have endorsed his campaign and called upon George Allen to withdraw the announcement, reprimand the staff or consultants who created this misleading or dishonest announcement, meet with their leadership to offer his assurance that this will not happen again, and focus on face to face debates with other candidates seeking the support of Tea Party Patriots in Virginia for the 2012 GOP Senate nomination.
The recent announcement of Tea Party endorsement by the Allen campaign, the Tea Party statement said that “it is misleading at best, dishonest at worst. No candidate has been endorsed by any statewide Tea Party organization in Virginia and especially not by the Northern Virginia Tea Party.”

Karen Hurd, President of the Northern Virginia Tea Party, said George Allen is falsely claiming to have tea party support. “he’s trying to make it look like he’s got this great big groundswell of grassroots support. He does not.” Hurd suggested many names on the list of Allen’s release do not fully support Allen and did not give permission to be listed.

After a few phone calls, however, I found most names on the list were very much in support of George Allen. Michelle Stanley of the Richmond Patriots, for example, confirmed she had indeed endorsed Allen and said she believed the list was legitimate. Stanley, who is also a blogger here at CampaignTrailReport.com, believes the Northern Virginia Tea Party and VA Federation are fully in support of candidate Jamie Radkte.

Indeed, there does appear to be a conflict of interest in the response put out by the Norther Virginia Tea Party. First, Karen Hurd told me that as of yesterday she is a paid consultant for Jamie Radkte’s campaign. Second, Jamie Radkte is one of the key founding members of the VA Tea Party Federation and the coalition appears to be heavy handed with its membership and support of Radtke.

Michelle Stanley told me the Richmond Patriots had at one time been a member of the Federation, but decided to withdraw membership when it became clear the coalition was a support mechanism for Radtke’s run for Senate.

There is no doubt George Allen doesn’t have unanimous support of Virginia Tea Party Groups. That said, he certainly has legitimate claim to a fairly large support base among Virginia tea partiers. Additionally, those reacting to Allen’s tea party support are clearly doing so in the interest of Jamie Radtke.

Do Not Attack Your Allies, by Tony Hall

We have had a very interesting week with the release of the Virginia Tea Party Patriots endorsements of George Allen for U.S. Senate from the Commonwealth of Virginia . This has created a firestorm that many of us expected. Anybody on that list who didn't want their name used or have changed their minds should contact the Allen Campaign and let them know. Hopefully the Allen Campaign will release another updated list soon because that is the right thing to do.

I would like to thank Sara James for her articles on the subject (Have You Paid Your Dues Tea Partiers) and Tom White for his excellent analysis of the issue (Fight For The Tea Party Vote). Coby Dillard is on the List and you can read Coby's response here (For George Allen).

I have listened to Allen, Radtke and Donner speak on the issues facing us and although I am endorsing George Allen at this time I can honestly say that if Jamie Radtke or Tim Donner were to win the Republican Nomination I would wholeheartedly support them in their campaign to defeat Tim Kaine and Obama's money! Can those opposing Allen say the same thing? I would hope so. I look forward to the Republican Debates.

I am also on the list by choice and I always find it amazing when people who claim to be leaders of Conservative Organizations insist on going out of their way to to humiliate, attack and ridicule people who are their natural allies just because they do not approve of the candidate they are endorsing. True Conservative Leaders build bridges to other Conservative groups. True Conservative Leaders try to persuade you to their point of view without relying on personal attacks. True Conservative Leaders will respect your decision weather they agree with your choice or not. Apparently some of these so called Leaders of Conservative Organizations have resorted to calling people like me Republican Stooges, Cogs in the Republican Machine (paraphrased), question our Conservatism and even our Patriotism. Just who in the HELL do you think you are? Who in the HELL died and made you King or Queen? I will endorse who I want when I want weather you like it or not! I do not tell you who you should support nor do I make judgments about your Conservatism and Patriotism based on who you support.

Although I have had some spirited discussions with a few of my fellow Conservatives I have NEVER questioned their Conservatism and especially their Patriotism. I also do not resort to personal attacks. If any of them thought that I was conducting personal attacks in some of our discussions please except my apologies.

I hope that the so called Leaders of these Conservative Groups will learn that you attract a lot more support with honey than with vinegar!Do not attack your Natural Allies.

Remember the TRUE Enemy out there are the Progressive Democrats and their defeat is JOB 1.

These clips are not just of the Great Depression, but time frames surrounding that period. Do you have any doubts that the Communists and Progressives have been with us for 100 years or better? Well, they have been under many guises. Many times it is in the form of unions and organizers who claim they want to help the worker, when in reality, the ultimate goal is bringing ‘change’ to our form of government. When you were growing up, did you ever hear of these riots and this violence that eventually led up to WWII and afterwards? I didn’t. This is a first for me.

60,000 showed up for some of the riots at that time!
Governors of multiple states had to call out their National Guard.
The Guard showed up with their side arms, machine guns, and gattling guns, ready to use them as needed.

The police used shot guns and alot of tear gas and “naseous” gas (that made you feel sick to your stomach).
Someone was reported dead and several were wounded at every riot that was covered in that footage.
Policemen were killed or injured.
Rioters overturned cars, attacked cab drivers and their passengers, and smashed all of the windows out of businesses.
There were alot of clubs, bats, and billy clubs used left and righ by law enforcement personnel and rioters alike.
I guess this is what we have to look forward to – a whole lot of death, injury, and destruction of personal property.

One of my uncles was a professional “strike breaker” during that time and throughout the 50s and 60s — what the commies called a “scab”. Whatever needed done — he found a way or made a way to make it happen!

My uncle and men like him kept whole industries in operation during the likes of these riots and maintained America as an industrial power.
Many, many of his bones were broken as he crossed picket lines — he called it the cost of doing business.
A small-framed wiry man, and a WWII veteran, my uncle had grown up working the migrant wheat harvest and knew the intrinsic value and dignity of both hard work and ingenuity.

But he never let union goons and the violence they did him prevent him from going in to do whatever it took to feed his family. It would not be proper to call him a fearless man. He knew fear very, very well. He was found dead in the desert.

History is repeating itself and the Progressives/Communists will use violence, hatred, fear, hunger and class warfare to achieve their agenda using whatever means are necessary. This path ALWAYS leads to death, bloodshed and war.

Did You Know Feds Will Temporarily Cut Off All T V and Radio Broadcasts on Nov. 9?

On that day, federal authorities are going to shut off all television and radio communications simultaneously at 2:00PM EST to complete the first ever test of the national Emergency Alert System (EAS). This isn’t a wild conspiracy theory. The upcoming test is posted on the Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau website. Only the President has the authority to activate EAS at the national level, and he has delegated that authority to the Director of FEMA. The test will be conducted jointly by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) through FEMA, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) National Weather Service (NWS). In essence, the authority to seize control of all television and civilian communication has been asserted by the executive branch and handed to a government agency. The EAS has been around since 1994. Its precursor, the Emergency Broadcast System (EBS), started back in 1963. Television and radio broadcasters, satellite radio and satellite television providers, cable television and wireline video providers are all involved in the system. So this begs the question: is the first ever national EAS test really a big deal? Probably not. At least, not yet. But there are some troubling factors all coming together right now that could conceivably trigger a real usage of the EAS system in the not too distant future. A European financial collapse could bring down U.S. markets. What is now the “Occupy” movement could lead to widespread civil unrest. And there are ominous signs that radical groups such as Anonymous will attempt something major on November 5th- Guy Fawke’s day. Now we know in the event of a major crisis, the American people will be told with one voice, at the same time, about an emergency. All thats left to determine is who will have control of the EAS when that day comes, and what their message will be.

South Korean FTA Is A Job Killer

Today, three trade agreements are schedule to come up for a vote in the House of Representatives that governing trade with Columbia, Panama and South Korea. These bills were orginially part of Pres. Obama's "American Jobs Act". However, Majority Leader Cantor, in an effort to work with the President felt that these trade agreements were actually good parts of Obama's job bill and could pass as stand alone bills.

It has recently came to my attention that the Korean-U.S. Trade Agreement (a.k.a. KORUS) could result in significant job loss in the U.S. Here is why, the Economic Policy Institute reported:

Advocates of free trade agreements, including the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, rely on deeply flawed projections for estimating the jobs impact of signing new free trade agreements (FTAs). As a result, these projections generally show that signing new FTAs will create jobs in the United States, when in fact doing so may destroy or displace jobs.

This Economic Policy Institute analysis examines the likely jobs impact of signing pending FTAs with Korea and Colombia. It shows, based on past experience, that these trade agreements will increase the U.S.’s trade deficit with both countries. Contrary to the Chamber’s projections, the EPI analysis then shows that the increased trade deficit per se will correspond to the loss of 214,000 jobs in the U.S. by 2015.

If that is not enough for you, another red flag is that President Obama made the promise, according to ApparelNew.Net. that he would not introduce a bill that did not have job training funding.

Obama repeatedly said he would not introduce the three lingering free-trade agreements for congressional approval until money was found for the job-training program, which expired in February. The Senate passed the job-training amendment after it was attached to a bill to renew the General System of Preferences program. The bill and its amendment passed on a 70–27 bipartisan vote.

Usually people need job training when they don't have a job. Now back the the Economic Policy Institute, according to them:

U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) projects this will have a small positive impact on the U.S. trade balance, and “minimal or negligible “ impact on U.S. employment, history shows that such trade deals lead to rapidly growing trade deficits and job loss in the United States.

The Charts below compare USITC’s estimates of the impact of the forthcoming free trade agreement with Korea to EPI’s own calculation. Unlike USITC’s forecast of a small positive impact, EPI’s research shows it will increase the U.S. trade deficit with Korea by about $16.7 billion, and displace about 159,000 American jobs within the first seven years after it takes effect.

The USITC has a history of vastly underestimating the negative impacts that free trade agreements have on the U.S. economy. In 1999, it estimated that China’s entry into the World Trade Organization would increase the U.S. trade deficit with China by only $1.0 billion, and have no significant impact on U.S. employment. In fact, the U.S. trade deficit with China increased by $185 billion between 2001 (when China entered the WTO) and 2008, and 2.4 million U.S. jobs have been displaced or lost. The U.S. trade deficit with Mexico also rose rapidly after the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) took effect in 1994.

These free trade agreements have been taken up by the Republican's in a effort to cooperate with the Obama Administration on a bi-partisan legislation. However, what ever the reason, if you disagree with the free trade agreement, please contact congress at 202-224-3121 let them VOTE NO on KORUS.

It’s official, Obama has put his stamp of approval on mob rule. As have some Democratic lawmakers(Hmm…O must of finally given them the go ahead). That will surely resonate in 2012 O, you betcha.

Militant Environmentalists Call for Executions and 'Decisive Ecological Warfare'

“Do we need a militant movement to save the planet (and ourselves)?”

That was the question posed in recent article on the left-wing site Alternet when it interviewed a group of radical environmentalists who are allegedly endorsing “Decisive Ecological Warfare.” And in order to realize their goal of ridding the planet of industrial civilization — even modern agriculture — the group intends to employ tactics “of both militaries and insurgents the world over.”

One of the activists, Derrick Jensen, allegedly even believes those who destroy the environment should be summarily executed: “If it were up to me, all the people associated with the Gulf oil spill, which is murdering the Gulf, would be executed. That would be part of the function of a state,” said Jensen.

In addition to Jensen, the two other environmentalists interviewed in the article – Lierre Keith, and Aric McBay — have spearheaded a fringe movement called the “Deep Green Resistance” (with a book of the same name) that calls for “direct attacks on infrastructure” and an annihilation of civilization as we know it.

According to the far-left triumvirate, humanity must devolve into living primitive, “indigenous” lifestyles. To this end, Keith targeted a litany of ills that must be stopped, declaring: “We need a culture that is self-consciously oppositional to things like corporate power, capitalism, industrialization and ultimately civilization, because that is the arrangement of power on this planet right now.”

But how does the group intend to implement such extreme goals? That is where the Decisive Ecological Warfare part comes in. According to DGR’s website, their type of warfare has four phases that will allegedly lead up to the “fall of industrial civilization.” The first phase, according to the organization’s charter, is “Networking & Mobilization“ followed by ”Sabotage & Asymmetric Action.” The site lays out the group’s strategy:

Strategy A: Engage in direct militant actions against industrial infrastructure, especially energy infrastructure.
Strategy B: Aid and participate in ongoing social and ecological justice struggles; promote equality and undermine exploitation by those in power.
Strategy C: Defend the land and prevent the expansion of industrial logging, mining, construction, and so on, such that more intact land and species will remain when civilization does collapse.
Strategy D: Build and mobilize resistance organizations that will support the above activities, including decentralized training, recruitment, logistical support, and so on.
Strategy E: Rebuild a sustainable subsistence base for human societies (including perennial polycultures for food) and localized democratic communities that uphold human rights.
The stated goal of DGR is to “deprive the rich of their ability to steal from the poor and the powerful of their ability to destroy the planet. This will require defending and rebuilding just and sustainable human communities nestled inside repaired and restored landbases. This is a vast undertaking but it needs to be said: it can be done. Industrial civilization can be stopped.”

All infrastructure, even modern agriculture did not escape the threesome’s wrath as they apparently consider “sustainable agriculture” an “oxymoron.”

The original Alternet interview with DGR leaders went on to reveal what McBay believes should replace industrial civilization if the movement were successful in carrying out its goals: “If we are talking about a post-industrial society, then I think we have to draw on the examples of traditional, indigenous societies.”

What’s more, the group barely tries to conceal its disdain for the average Americans who probably find DGR’s brand of extremism distinctly repugnant. Keith stated, “I’m not speaking to mainstream America. I don’t know how to talk to those people, and there is no point in me trying.” And Jensen only mirrored the sentiment, saying, “I don’t understand why it is even controversial to talk about dismantling industrial civilization when it has shown itself for 6,000 years to be destroying the planet and to be systemically committing genocide.”

But don’t worry. As Alternet points out, Keith does make a distinction about violence in the book.
“I would urge the following distinctions,” writes Keith, “the violence of hierarchy vs. the violence of self-defense, violence against actual people vs. violence against property, and the violence as self-actualization vs. the violence of political resistance.”

“Just because they mention violence doesn‘t mean it’s the best policy,” Alternet says in its article as a way of trying to salvage readers who might be non-violent. But it is an option.

Organized Liberal Protests from Charlottesville Target Richmond and DC

According to Blue Virginia, Cantor refuses to meet with his constituents unless they are rich, powerful and from the Tea Party.

As the Richmond Patriots post all of Cantor's town hall meetings, you know that the 'Advisory Council Meetings' are held 3 times a year, and the Republican Roundup is held every October. The Richmond Times Dispatch reports that about 200 protestors held signs saying 'I Need A Job to Pay My Bill' and 'Whose Side Are You On?' yesterday, outside of Cantor's town hall at the Koger Center in Richmond.

Some people were provided transportation to the site, according to Virginia Organizing, a left-leaning grass-roots organization that coordinated the event with other groups, including the Service Employees International Union. The central group from Virginia Organizing is located in Charlottesville, Virginia.

United You Stand Divided You Fall

When running in a primary for your party's nomination to represent the Commonwealth of Virginia in the U.S. Senate it is always a good idea to attract as many people who are your natural allies as possible. When people endorse your campaign in my opinion it is up to you to take that endorsement and run with it. You should never complain that those who endorse you are not doing enough for your campaign. Apparently that is what has happened between Jamie Radtke, candidate for for the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate from the Commonwealth of Virginia and Eric Erickson of Red State Blog.

There is a battle brewing in the Virginia GOP Primary for the U.S. Senate and this time it is not between candidate. It is between GOP Primary Candidate, Jamie Radtke and Red State blogger Erick Erickson. Here how it plays out, last January shortly after both Jamie Radtke and George Allen had declare there candidacies, Erickson weighed in with a hit piece on Allen and an endorsement of Radtke, which he stated that he wished both candidates well, but that he would be supporting Ms. Radtke.

So apparently the Radtke's campaign is having some sort of issue with with Erickson. Today in Politico (http://www.politico.com/) this was posted:
Erickson told Allen’s challenger, Jamie Radtke, that he had to moderate his support for her because “my bosses are huge Allen friends,” according to an email he sent earlier this month, which her campaign manager forwarded to POLITICO.

The conservative media powerhouse Eagle Publishing, which owns the venerable conservative journal Human Events and the prolific Regnery Publishing, has published RedState since 2007. Eagle Publishing President Jeffrey Carneal contributed $1,000 to Allen's last Senate campaign.

Erickson, who prides himself on breaking with the GOP establishment, softened his stand after initially casting a conservative challenge to Allen as a key tea party test, and his shift offers a glimpse at some of the forces at work behind the partisan commentariat.

He entered the primary with a bang in January. Warning that Allen’s record had “serious problems” on “issues which are, for the most part, at the core of the tea party movement,” Erickson endorsed Radtke, a conservative activist.

“This race may be the big grass roots vs. party establishment race of 2012 and a test of the tea party’s continued momentum,” wrote Erickson, who is also a CNN contributor.

The endorsement, Radtke campaign manager Carter Wrenn said, gave the campaign a boost. But soon, he noticed that RedState wasn’t giving Radtke’s campaign much attention.

“The word came back to me that the people who own Human Events and RedState were for Allen and had asked Erickson to step back,” he said.

Several things strike me about this, first why would Radtke's campaign even bring this up and second, could this be true. Well, shortly after a rebuttal was posted on Red State by Erickson "Regarding Jamie Radtke"

I tried to cut myself with a butter knife, it was so horrendous and never-ending.

and she gets an invite, gets a nice slot to talk, gets drunk, and gets so embarrassing that I have to duck away rather than embarrass her further with interviewing her.

and I mercifully did not film it.

and I hadn’t realized that it was going to be her campaign speech, and then I was mesmerized by the train wreck.

and She was a drunk rambling idiot that took 30 minutes to introduce a director who himself was confused.

So what was Radtke's speech at the Red State Gathering? Well she was not schedule to give a speech she was merely to give an introduction to Stephen Bannon, the director to the Sarah Palin film, "The Undefeated".

Erickson did however admit in his post that, "Actually, my bosses at Eagle Publishing do in fact have a relationship with George Allen, and a very good one, and asked me — after I endorsed her — to please go slow for once instead of shooting first and asking questions later."

O.k. going slow and backing off are two different things in my opinion. In the world of politics, especially in a race that is, at the time, over a year away going slow is a prudent thing to do. There are a lot of unknowns, like who else will be entering the race. But besides that I was reminded of a post from a local blogger who question Erickson endorsement of Radtke and documented this "shooting first" style.

See the potential problem for Ms. Radtke is that Erickson also has a record. In his case it’s a record of supporting Tea Party Candidates for the Senate. Let’s review:

In Nevada last year, Erickson started out supporting the candidacy of Danny Tarkanian who was running for the nomination against Sue Lowden, whom Erickson described as establishment. On May 11th, Erickson said “I’m with Danny Tarkanian and I hope you will be too.” But on May 19th he said, “If I’m going to be consistent in trying to get the viable conservative elected, the rule must apply in Nevada too and that means you should not be surprised if very soon I’m urging everyone to get on board Sharon Angle’s campaign bus.” Which he did, and promptly backed over Danny Tarkanian.

In California, Erickson was an early on supporter of Chuck DeVore, saying as late as May 5th “I’m staying with Chuck DeVore.” But just six days later he said “Look, if Chuck DeVore hasn’t gone up in the polls within two weeks significantly, I’ll be with Carly Fiorina.”

Move on to Delaware where in June, Erickson gave a lukewarm endorsement of Christine O’Donnell, “But this is one of those unique election years where anything can happen. ‘Anything’, in this case, is Christine O’Donnell getting elected. It could happen. I want to help make it happen. But at the end of the day, as long as Mike Castle loses I’m good.’ To Erickson’s credit, he admitted it was an uphill battle, which was a good thing because in September he said “I want Christine O’Donnell to win. Tea Party Express’s polling notwithstanding, I don’t think she will. And I cannot bring myself to spend an ounce of energy more to help when there are other candidates out there with better chances who need our help…I’m done and pulling the plug.” O’Donnell went on to win the primary, and was congratulated at RedState. But she lost the election.

In fact, all of these candidates once endorsed by Erickson lost.

This is not to say that Erickson is wrong in his assessment of Jamie Radtke but to illustrate that maybe he does have the tendency to jump in before all the facts are known.

Either way, it is still unclear to me why Radkte's campaign would even orchestrate such a hit piece on Red State and Erickson. In doing so, she called attention to her campaign misstep of a 30 minute introduction that was apparently so bad that there is NO video to be found. Which says A LOT about the poor people who were in attendance.

Radtke could have gracefully walked away and no one in Virginia would have even known about the event, instead she has stirred up a campaign problem. As Erickson said, her game may indeed be over.

As you can see the Radtke Campaign has made a HUGE tactical mistake and stirred up a hornets nest and that is never a good thing. Unfortunately everybody concerned has resorted to fighting with those who are their natural allies.

We in the Patriot/Tea Party Movement believe in Limited Government, Low Taxes, Balancing the Budget, Free Enterprise System, Restoring Constitution, and Rolling back the Socialist Programs. Every single person involved in this stupid Civil War may differ on how we get there but we ALL believe in the same principles listed above.

Will someone please explain to me why everyone and I mean EVERYONE involved are bound and determined to get down in the gutter, sling mud, pull hair, gouge eyes out, bite and kick each other?

Memo for the Radtke Campaign for attacking Eric Erickson and to Eric Erickson for doing a terrible job in responding. There are more important issues in this day and time besides your overly inflated EGOS. We are all on the same side so get up out of the gutter, shake hands, go clean off the mud and get on with the business at hand that is the defeat of the Progressive Democrats, Tim Kaine and his master Barack Hussein Obama II.

A little friendly advice for Eric Erickson, stop shooting from the hip and stick with and help those you endorse!

A little friendly advice for the Radtke Campaign, stop shooting yourself in the foot and alienating those who are your natural allies. You could learn something from the current Allen Campaign!

Apparently there has been a bit of a retraction by Eric Erickson at RedState. Below is what he posted on his blog this afternoon.

"Jamie Radtke tells Scott Conroy of Real Clear Politics that she feels it is libelous for observers of her speech to say she was drunk as she says she was not drinking.

Okay.

Jamie Radtke says she was not drinking and I will believe her.

That, friends, makes reports of her performance at the RedState Gathering even more appalling.

UPDATED: There is now a letter from the campaign lawyer demanding an apology.

Okay. I’m sorry I put up reviews of Jamie Radtke’s speech from people who saw it and thought she had been drinking. She says she had not been drinking. I’ll take her at her word for it. That does then suggest she needs some serious work on giving speeches if people who saw her speaking not under the influence presumed that she was under the influence."

This still hasn't changed a thing. I still refer them to my comments above!

New Gov't Agency Being Considered the "Department Of Jobs"

President Obama has become so desperate for the jobs numbers to improved he has proposed a new program that gives a tax break companies. This is what was reported in the New York times:

On Aug. 5, in a move that went virtually unnoticed amid the clamor over a rating agency's downgrading of United States debt, the administration announced a new jobs program for veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. Mr. Obama called it a "reverse boot camp," intended to retrain veterans for civilian jobs. Part of the program would include a "returning hero tax credit" for companies that hire unemployed disabled veterans.

This is a little out of character for the president in the fact that, he was fighting tooth and nail to stop tax loop holes during the debt ceiling debate, which this would be, IMO, considered a loophole. But one could just look at this as being the "business as usual" Washington.

The other part of the article that merited one sentences, but made me go "WHOA" is:

The administration may also merge the Department of Commerce, the Office of the United States Trade Representative and some economic divisions at the State Department into a new agency, administration officials said. Possible names include the Department of Jobs or the Department of Competitiveness.

Personally, I think "Department of Jobs" just rolls of the tongue better. I hope that is the name they go with. {Note to self: email White House Later). But all kidding aside. This is eerily similar to when the Department of Homeland Security was thought up. The country was in crisis, albeit a different type of crisis, and government steps in an creates a umbrella organization to over see the crisis and to "work together". Heritage Foundation summed it up nicely, Great, established bureaucrats, and no doubt hundreds if not thousands of new ones will be working “together” to do the job that President Obama obviously can’t: create jobs.

Also consider this, recently a former WH economist, Jared Bernstein make this comment to CNSNews.com:

According to Bernstein the White House economist, they had "bad data" and could not accurately predict how bad the recession and job loss was going to be. Why can't these high ranking officials just admit when they made a mistake. We know that President Obama has a hard time doing that, except to say that "shovel ready jobs were not so shovel ready".

Well, as patriots, let's keep this "Department of Jobs" thing on our radar because as the election ramps up President Obama will do his best to cover up. That, IMO, is exactly what the "Department of Jobs" would be a cover up and more government overreach.

Is the Sky Falling?

When you turn on the Television News or listen to Talk Radio you can't help but to think that the "Sky is Falling" and the "World is coming to an End!" But are we? I say we are not. Yes, we have some very serious problems that need immediate attention like.

Fix Federal Government Budget and Fiscal Problems.
Re-start the Economy.
Restore the Constitution.
Reverse 100 years of Progressive Socialism.
Global Financial Problems
Turmoil from Europe to the Middle East to China

These are very daunting problems that are not easily fixed. No wonder people feel like the "Sky is Falling." There are a number of crisis that our people had to deal with throughout our history that were just as bad or worse. Here are just a few.

The American Revolution (our first civil war)
The Civil War (our second Civil War)
World War I
The Great Depression
World War II
Vietnam War
1968

1968? Why 1968? For those who were born before 1964 you will probably remember what it was like. For those of you who were born after 1964 you may not know what happened. Be sure to watch the following six videos to get a good idea of what it was like.

Hopefully you watched all of the videos because if you did you will see that 1968 came very close to becoming our third Civil War. You can also see the roots of the problems we face today. The far left infiltrated the young people protesting the Vietnam War, the Civil Rights Movement and the Democratic Party. We can now find the very same people responsible for the protest in 1968 are now in the bureaucracies of the local, state and federal governments, Universities & Colleges, Congress, State Legislatures & Governorships and one of their students occupies the Presidency of the United States.

By the end of 1968 the left had all but completely taken over the Democratic Party. This caused many moderate and conservative Democrats to flee to the Republican Party. The Democrats have been fighting class warfare ever sense. The modern Big Spenders got their Big Start in 1964 and with a few exceptions has continued until 2008 when it got a shot of steroids from the Progressive Democrats and Obama.

As bad as the country and the world appears to be it could be a lot worse. America "The Sky is not Falling." We will fix the problems. It will take imagination, innovation, time and a lot of hard work but, it will happen. We started to turn this huge ship around in 2009 (Virginia & New Jersey) and continued the turnaround in the Mid-Term Elections of 2010. Now it is up to us to continue our efforts in 2012 by flipping the Senate and kicking Obama out of the White House.

True American Hero's

When we heard the news about the shoot down if the Special Forces Chinook helicopter and the death of 30 brave Americans we were all heart broken. No Patriotic American can hear the news about the death of American lives and not be touched.

The Elite Military units such as the Navy Seals, Delta Force, Army Rangers, Air Force Special Operations and Marine Recon deserve all of the accolades they receive. They are extremely brave warriors who go into extremely dangerous places to serve our country and protect our freedoms.

Let's not forget about the everyday G.I. Joe and G.I. Jane who risk their lives defending our country and sometimes paying the ultimate price. They serve everywhere from the United States to Afghanistan, from Germany to Iraq, from the Pacific to the Atlantic, and don't forget about the skies above.

We have lost many brave service men and women over the last ten years who paid the ultimate price with their lives. Thousands have been wounded in the body and the mind because of wars we asked them to fight. Their family's have had to deal with the trauma of loosing a loved one or having to help them heal. Thank god the vast majority of them have returned safe and sound and are readjusting to life here in the states.

All of our Brave Military Service Men and Women are "True American Hero's" and deserve our gratitude and respect. Be sure to thank them when you see them.

The Patriot/Tea Party Terrorist

Well you have come a long way baby! They started off by calling us Kooks, Astro-Turfers Tea Baggers, Racist and now we have graduated to earn the moniker of right-wing Terrorist. What is absolutely amazing to me is that those on the left who claim to represent the people in our government are the ones pushing those descriptions.

It has taken over 110 years for us to get to this point in our history but, for me in 2008 we crossed through the door into "The Twilight Zone." What was black is now white. What was right is now wrong. The country to many people like myself seems to be totally upside down.

We have for many years been frustrated with the out of control spending that Washington is addicted to, not to mention trashing our Constitution. So in the "Winter of 2009" we watched as Rick Santelli went into his famous "Tea Party Rant" and that was the spark that ignited a Movement. The people started to gather in cites and towns all over this country. We finally realized that we were not alone. We were "Mad As Hell And We're Not Going To Take It Anymore!" The Sleeping Giant had awakened and was in a VERY BAD MOOD!

The press and the Political Elites in both parties had no idea what had happened. Who are these people?Where did they come from? What do they want? They were dumbfounded. We are the voters and many of us had voted for the nuts running the asylum. We came from every corner of this country. We want the Nuts in charge to stop spending us into oblivion, listen to us, obey the Constitution and get the hell out of our lives.

Those Political Elites who were threatened the most were the ones calling us all kinds of names hoping we would cower in the corner and go home. Well we didn't and our movement just kept getting stronger. We ambushed those Political Elites at Town Halls throughout the summer of 2009 over Obamacare and other issues. They were still dumbfounded. You could see those little wheels in their heads turning and that little voice saying. Who are these people? Where did they come from?

You just knew the Political Elites were going to have a seizure when an estimated 1.5 million people showed up at the U.S. Capital on September 12, 2009, yelling at the building. "DO YOU HEAR US NOW!" They heard us all right but they were not listening. On Christmas Eve in 2009, the Senate passed Obamacare 60–39 over the objections of most Americans. Obamacare was then sent to the House where it passed 219–212 on March 19, 2010, after numerous protest on the Capital grounds. Many states revolted and sued the Federal Government over Obamacare.

To the Patriot/Tea Party Movement passing Obamacare was tantamount to a declaration of war and so the new rallying cry went out "November 2010 is Coming!" And boy did it! Not only did the Republicans take over the House of Representatives they also cut the Progressive Democrats lead in the Senate from 59-41 to 53-47. Just as important the The Republicans reaped large gains in the State Legislatures and Governorships.

All though we have had some setbacks and we do not always get what we want. The Patriot/Tea Party Movement has enormous influence on the direction that the Local, State and now the Federal Governments are taking and as long as we stay engaged we will continue to have major influence.

That is why the far left goes to great lengths to to demonise the Patriot/Tea Party Movement. They have called us everything in the book. They accuse the movement of starting violence even though the evidence is overwhelming that it is the left who is responsible for most of the political violence in this country. Thankfully that is not a major problem so far.

The Left and their allies in the "Main Stream Media" fear the Patriot/Tea Party Movement and what they represent. Just like passengers flying in an airliner will no longer put up with hijackers and terrorist and go down without a fight. The Patriot/Tea Party Movement will no longer put up with what the Political Elites and the peons in the media try to shove down our throats. Wear the insults as a badge of honor and lets turn our country around and make it the best it can possible be. Remember who your enemy is, the Progressive Democrats!

We owe the Conservative Republicans a debt of gratitude for standing up to the Progressives and the President. We need to support them and send them more re-enforcements in 2012.

Budget Control Act of 2011

WOW! Where do you start? I have not commented on "The Great Debt Debate of 2011" because everytime I thought I had something to comment on they would change the parameters as fast as you would change a two month old's diapers! So I decided to wait until the dust settled a little.

The Budget Control Act of 2011 is now law and nobody likes it. WOW! Big surprise! So who won this debate if no one likes the bill? In my opinion the Patriot/Tea Party Conservatives won a small victory. The Republican Establishment in general does not like it because it is imperfect as described by Speaker Boehner. The Democrats hate it because it does not tax Millionaires, Billionaires and Corporate Jet owners and anyone who makes $250,000 or more. The Patriot/Tea Party Conservatives do not like it because it does not cut enough nor does it balance the budget.

Just for the hell of it lets go over the outline as presented by Speaker Boehner in his 7-31-11 Debt-Framework Power Point presentation to the House Republicans. If you want a more detailed look at the actual bill that was passed you can click this link to the Budget Control Act of 2011.

Emerging framework has three main features:

(1) cuts government spending more than it increases the debt limit;
(2) implements spending caps to restrain future spending;
(3) advances the cause of a Balanced Budget Amendment
Framework accomplishes this without tax hikes, which would
destroy jobs, while preventing a job-killing national default.

Sounds good doesn't it? Of course the devil is in the details.

NO TAX HIKES:

(1) Same as House-passed bill, the framework includes no tax hikes.
(2) Under the framework, the Joint Committee of Congress will work off a current-law baseline, as required by the 1974 Budget Act, effectively making it impossible for Joint Committee to increase taxes.

On the surface this sounds great. Anyone with any common sense will tell you that you "DO NOT RAISE TAXES" in a recession. Now if you can find any tax increases or new taxes in the Budget Control Act of 2011 please post them in the comment section below.

I am very curious to see how this so called "Joint Committee of Congress" will work or get anything accomplished.

CUTS THAT EXCEED THE DEBT HIKE:

(1) Same as House-passed bill, framework includes spending cuts that exceed the amount of the increased debt authority granted to POTUS.
(2) Would cut & cap discretionary spending immediately, saving $917B over 10 years (certified by CBO) & raise the debt ceiling by less – $900B – to approximately February.
(3) Before debt ceiling can be raised, Congress and the president must enact spending cuts of a larger amount first.

This is where this debate gets messy. Fist of all, projecting anything beyond two years is absolutely ridiculous. They have no idea what is going to happen and this is nothing but a play on the numbers.

In 1998 did Congress foresee the economic calamity of the Fall of 2008 coming? Of course they didn't. Did Congress foresee the housing bubble that began to pop in the spring of 2008? Of course they didn't. Did Congress foresee the huge spike in oil prices in the fall of 2007 to the summer of 2008? Of course they didn't. If they could we would not be in as bad of a situation as we are in today.

CAPS TO CONTROL FUTURE SPENDING:

(1) As in House-passed bill, framework imposes spending caps that
would set clear limits on future spending & serve as barrier against gov’t expansion while economy grows.
(2) Failure to remain below these caps triggers automatic across the board cuts (“sequestration”). Same mechanism used in 1997 Balanced Budget Agreement.

Okay, okay you can stop your snickering now. We all know that Congress does such a bang up job at obeying the law and their own rules. Had they obeyed the "1997 Balanced Budget Agreement" we would have paid or be well on our way to paying off the "National Debt." What a concept.

BALANCED BUDGET AMENDMENT (BBA):

(1) Same as House-passed bill, framework requires both House & Senate to vote on a BBA after Oct. 1, 2011 but before the end of year.

(a) Joint Committee cuts spending by greater amount than the requested debt limit hike,
(b) A Balanced Budget Amendment is sent to the states.
(3) Creates incentive for previous opponents of a BBA to now support it.

Now this a fantastic idea. I do not know of anyone who is against a "Balance Budget Amendment" but, of course I do not hang out with Socialist. I do have a concern though. I want to the language of that amendment before I give my support.

Now folks we all know that the Balance Budget Amendment will not pass the Senate so this is probably dead for now.

ENTITLEMENT REFORMS & SAVINGS:

(1) Sets up a new sequestration process to cut spending across the board and ensure that any debt limit increase is met with greater spending cuts if the Joint Committee fails to achieve at least $1.2T in deficit reduction.
(2) If this happens, POTUS may request up to $1.2T for a debt limit increase, and if granted, then across the board spending cuts would result that would equal the difference between $1.2T and the deficit reduction enacted as a result of Joint Committee.
(3) Across the board spending cuts would apply to FYs 2013-2021, and apply to both mandatory & discretionary programs.
(4) Total reductions would be equally split between defense and non-defense programs. Across-the-board cuts would also apply to Medicare. Other programs, including Social Security, Medicaid, veterans, and civil & military pay, would be exempt.
(5) Sequestration process is designed to guarantee that Congress acts on the Joint Committee’s legislation to cut spending.

Ahhh yes, the Elephant in the room "Entitlement Reforms and Savings." We all know that we have to do something about Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid and I will not go into those subjects right now.

My concern is if the so called "Joint Committee of Congress" fails to reach the cuts specified and across the board cuts are enacted equally between Defence, Non-Defence Programs and Medicare how will that affect our ability to support our troops in the field? That's a question I would like answered.

As it stands IF Congress lives up to its word (I know that's a big if) this will be a good victory for the Patriot/Tea Party movement but it is only one victory in a very long war against the Progressive Democrats. Obviously it is not everything we wanted but we should give a standing ovation to all of Conservatives who stood their ground and were able to make this victory a reality. They are truly Patriots!

Our work is far from complete. We need to defeat as many Democrats in November 2012 as we can. It is imperative that we send our "Conservative Patriots" more re-enforcements. We need to increase our numbers in the House." Take control of the Senate with enough "Conservative Patriots" to keep the Democrats from causing lots of trouble. Of course it includes kicking Barack Obama and his entourage out of the White House once and for all.

The Debt Bill: What Did You Expect?

Democrats control the White House. Democrats control the Senate. To the Monday Morning quarterbacks who all have better plans than the one passing Congress this week I say “What did you expect?”

We only control one-third of the process, and guess what? Virginia is responsible for that. Virginia voted for Senator Jim Webb, Senator Mark Warner and President Obama.

Debt ceiling increases usually pass with hardly a whisper. This one almost had international markets quaking at the thought of an American default, because our debt is at such a high level. That we extracted any concessions at all is a miracle.

The projected cuts are only cuts in increases, but that they are in there at all with Democrats holding 67% of the say is amazing to me. Couple that with “no tax increase” and this agreement is a huge win for House Republicans.

Did anyone really think the government would let itself default? Despite the enthusiasm of those who would cheer that, NO….N-O, no elected official would let that happen and expect to be re-elected. A debt ceiling increase was going to pass.

The real issue is that the Senate hasn’t passed a budget this year or last year. The budget is where you can truly cut spending, and the Democrats won’t even produce one. That’s the big issue we are forgetting in the heat of a debt ceiling summer.

One more thing….

If you think there should be more sanity in the federal budget, STOP ELECTING DEMOCRATS!

Stop telling me that Mark Warner is really effective or Jim Webb is really conservative for a Democrat. The bottom line is, when it’s time to stop talking and start voting, they vote how their Democrat leader tells them to vote. They vote the same as Al Franken!

So you didn’t like Jim Gilmore and John McCain. You cackled about Sarah Palin. You did nothing but complain about your own side during their elections while the Democrats and the media piled on.

And now you aren’t happy with what Warner, Webb and Obama gave you?

Is the Media to Blame for the Debt Crisis. Why Not. It Certainly Isn't Obama

The causes of the current economic crisis are many, but we should look at how the mainstream news media influenced the crash of 2008. We, of the social media understand that NBC, ABC, CBS with FOX and CNN are biased in their reporting of the current Debt Ceiling crisis. We don't need a Congressional investigation, just channel surf and you will find vastly different information.
So, how did the news media effect the crash of 2008?

An article by Pajamasmedia.com by Andrew Klavin explains it all:

In the book Reckless Endangerment: How Outsized Ambition, Greed, and
Corruption Led to Economic Armageddon, authors Gretchen Morgenson and
Joshua Rosner tell how, in the early nineties, faulty or skewed studies by ACORN
and other groups fed the idea that there was pervasive racial bias by mortgage
lenders, with blacks and Hispanics being unfairly rejected for loans.

“The findings lit up the media, confirming many people’s suspicions
about banks’ lending practices,” the authors write of one such study. In fact,
properly interpreted, the data suggested that banks were making their loans not
on the basis of race but on the basis of credit-worthiness. But as the
misinformation confirmed left-wing ideas, the media pressure was on for a
government fix.

To put it in simplified but not inaccurate terms, what
happened as a result was this: The Clinton administration essentially gave
orders to lenders to give unwise loans to people based on their race. Those
orders required banks to adopt bad lending practices. The dangerously easy
credit made house prices rise. And unscrupulous sharks on Wall Street and
elsewhere rushed in to make a profit off the housing bubble by luring investors
into funding the crummy mortgages. Thus the poison of the government-mandated
bad loans flooded the system. When housing prices inevitably fell, the system
collapsed.

At the center of all this were Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, dishonestly run lenders with government backing and a mandate to make housing somehow affordable to those who couldn’t afford it. Republicans George W. Bush and John McCain, warned about the coming disaster and calling for regulatory legislation to bring the madness at Fannie Mae under control. Democrats, most especially and most perfidiously Congressman Barney Frank of Massachusetts, repeatedly claiming nothing is wrong.

If our mainstream news media had not been so politically one-sided, all of this might have been prevented. The reports that falsely claimed racial discrimination in lending could easily have been debunked. The entire premise of giving loans to people who couldn’t afford them might have been questioned.

And the warnings of Bush and McCain would have been given at least equal weight. It was the left-wing assumptions of the news media that prevented proper reporting and created at least some of the pressure on politicians to act irresponsibly — and then provided them with the cover of silence when they did.

The chief political correspondent of ABC News is George Stephanopoulos, a former Democrat operative who says Barack Obama’s Mr. Bean presidency is going “remarkably well.” NBC anchorman Brian Williams once implied Jimmy Carter was the greatest American president of all time and suggested the founding fathers were essentially terrorists.

And CBS has just replaced the leftist Katie Couric with Ted Baxter lookalike Scott Pelley, who once called Mahmoud Ahmadinejad “incorruptible” and compared global warming skeptics to holocaust deniers.

They work in an echo chamber of agreement where opinions are more likely to become radicalized and important stories that challenge leftist assumptions simply become invisible. For the reasons given above, this echo chamber is partially to blame for our current economic troubles, and is currently contributing to future woes by skewing the story of the debt ceiling negotiations against Republicans rather than telling it from both sides.

Cut, Cap & Balance Act (CCB Act), Is It Enough? In a word NO. Don't get me wrong it is a great start in the right direction and that is why I support the CCB Act. But, we can do better and will have to because of the economic conditions that we unfortunately find ourselves in today and for the foreseeable future.

Let's review what the CCB Act actually is.

CUT

Cuts total spending by $111 billion in FY 2012. The savings is divided as follows:
Reduce non-security discretionary spending below 2008 levels, which saves $76 billion.
$35 billion cut to non-veterans, non-Medicare, non-Social Security mandatory spending.
Defense budget at President's level.

"Cuts total spending by $111 billion in FY 2012." This is a good start but remember we are expected to run a 1.5 Trillion dollar deficit in 2011 and will probably be close to 1 Trillion dollars in 2012. We still have a long wway to go.

I have problem with the vague "Defence budget at President's level." I'm not sure exactly what that means. Hopefully that doesn't mean what ever the President determines is an acceptable level of spending for the defence of our coutry and the service men and women who serve. I personally do not trust this President to do the right thing. They say it will be at the same level the House passed for the FY 2012 budget.

I understand the theory behind capping it at 20% of the GPD. Here is their reason. "This would place spending in line with average spending over the last 30 years." Every year over the last 30 years except for a couple we have had a deficit. So here is my question. If we keep spending at 20% of GDP and we are still running a deficit does that mean we will have to increase taxes?

BALANCE

Requires the passage of a Balanced Budget Amendment (BBA) before raising the nation's debt limit.

This sounds great but the devil is in the details. Here are the details they list on BBA.

The legislation would require that any Balanced Budget Amendment include the following:
A balanced budget component;
A super-majority requirement to raise taxes; and
A limit on spending as a percentage of GDP.

This means they do not have a BBA drafted yet. I like the outline in general but I want to see the details. I hope it will included a "Budget Line Item Veto."

All things considered it is a good start but I believe you will agree that it is just a start! November 6, 2012, cannot come soon enough!

July 24, 2011, A Day Of Reckoning?

We all knew that the "Day of Reckoning" was coming for our fiscal irresponsibility at the Federal level. Has that day arrived? According to Speaker John Boehner today Sunday, July 24, 2011 may be D-Day for the Debt Ceiling negotiations.

At 6:00pm ET today the markets will open in Japan to begin the trading week. The fear is without an agreement on a plan to raise the Debt Ceiling and Cut Spending that the markets will react very badly ala the TARP vote witch the failure of that first vote on TARP caused the Dow Jones Industrials to fall over 777 points which is the worse single day point loss in history. Now we all I know that most of us including myself and many who voted for TARP did not like that legislation at all and were very much against it. The last thing the leaders in Washington want to see in a flat economy is a market free fall like the first TARP vote. They are very fearful that a market plunge like that would send us deeper into a recession that we have been trying very to get out of despite the efforts of President Obama's agenda.

Folks what we are watching unfold before us is the "Ultimate High Stakes Poker Game." They are eyeball to eyeball. Who is bluffing? The President? The Senate? Or is it the House? We may very well know by 6pm today.

One thing is certain, if it wasn't for the "Patriot/Tea Party Movement" that rose up in the winter of 2009 none of this would be going on today. They would have hiked the Debt Limit without any talk about cutting spending. They would not have extended the so called "Bush Tax Cuts." They would be even further along in spending us into oblivion than they are today.

I am rather certain that the "Patriot/Tea Party Movement" will not get everything we would like to see happen with the budget. We want REAL CUTS! NO NEW TAXES! BALANCE THE BUDGET! The reality of Washington DC is that we have real influance in the House, only enough in the Senate to make things difficult for the Democrats and absolutly none in the White House which makes November 2, 2012, all that more important.

Regardless what the outcome may be the "Patriot/Tea Party Movement" has become a major player in the politics of Washington DC and the World. The "Patriot/Tea Party Movement" could not have accomplish this achievement if it wasn't for the Patriots who flooded the Congress with phone calls and emails, held rallies, marched on DC and voted in large numbers on November 3, 2010.

So who is going to blink in this "Ultimate High Stakes Poker Game?" For the sake of "We The People" let's hope it is Barry and the Democrats!

U.S. Government Ends Chrysler Investment With $1.3 Billion Loss

The U.S government has sold its shares in Chrysler LLC at a likely loss of $1.3 billion in taxpayer money, the Treasury Department said Thursday, announcing the end of a controversial investment that resurrected the troubled auto company.

Italian automaker Fiat SpA, which has run the company since it emerged from bankruptcy protection in June 2009, purchased the U.S. government's remaining 98,000 shares in the auto company for $560 million.

The financial loss irritated Republican lawmakers."I am deeply disturbed to learn that the Obama administration left $1.3 billion taxpayer dollars on the table in resolving its bailout of Chrysler," said Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.

"The administration has sold out an American icon to a foreign company using TARP funds underwritten by taxpayers. Now they are essentially give that same company $1.3 billion of taxpayer money," he said.

"At a time when American taxpayers must make tough choices to repay their mortgages -- even on houses worth less than they paid -- it is unfathomable that Italian automaker Fiat and its subsidiary Chrysler got away with repaying less than the full amount borrowed from the U.S. government," he added.

Treasury provided a total of $12.5 billion to Chrysler and its financing arm after the recession hampered auto sales and sent Chrysler and General Motors to the brink of collapse. The funds came from the government's $700 billion bank bailout fund.

Since then, $11.2 billion of the assistance has been repaid, Treasury said. Chrysler repaid $5.1 billion in loans from the government in May. But the $1.3 billion remaining is unlikely to be recovered, Treasury said.

"With today's closing, the U.S. government has exited its investment in Chrysler at least six years earlier than expected," said Tim Massad, assistant secretary for financial stability.

"This is a major accomplishment and further evidence of the success of the administration's actions to assist the U.S. auto industry, which helped save a million jobs during the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression."

Chrysler has made a remarkable turnaround from two years ago, when it was rescued by the government.

The company earned net income of $116 million in the first quarter and is forecasting 2011 earnings of $200 million to $500 million. Under the leadership of Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne, the company has cut costs and revived its sales by refurbishing most of its lineup of Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge and Ram vehicles.

Its sales rose 30 percent in June compared to the previous year.

The purchase of the government's stake gives Fiat 52 percent ownership of Chrysler. That's likely to rise to 57 percent before the end of the year when Chrysler begins producing a 40 mpg small car in the U.S.

Fiat received a 20 percent stake in Chrysler after the bankruptcy in exchange for management expertise and technology. The Italian automaker has gradually raised its stake by meeting benchmarks set by the government.

This is just a small example of why the Federal Government should NEVER bailout anyone. The whole idea of the bailout was to keep the automaker afloat and keep it from going into bankruptcy. How did that work? Not so good.

I believe that the Obama Administration's main goal was to protect the Unions at the expense of everyone else. The Obama Administration broke every bankruptcy law in the book just to protect their union buddies.

Last night, I attended the Christians United For Israel gala in Washington, DC. Before dinner, while a band played, we waved American and Israeli flags, with images of Israel displayed on 14 large screens . Some danced the Jewish Hora and some of us attempted to dance the Hora. I won't name names...
Pastor John Haggee reported that 5,000 were in attendance for the conference. I was told by one of the singers that 9,000 were there for the gala.

Glenn Beck as the Keynote speaker said:

Reid: Cantor should not be in debt limit talks

Ahhhhh, the headline says it all. Anytime Harry Reid doesn't like someone then that person's stock goes up in my book!

Reid says Cantor's conduct during the sensitive White House talks have shown, in Reid's words, "he shouldn't even be at the table." Reid says other congressional leaders are negotiating in good faith as an Aug. 2 deadline approaches for raising the debt limit.
That's when the Obama administration says the government would begin defaulting if no agreement is reached to raise the borrowing limit. Leaders of both parties and the business world have said that a default would be catastrophic.
The daily talks ended Wednesday with Obama and Cantor clashing, and the president leaving the room. They resume late Thursday afternoon.

It seems to me that House Majority Leader Eric Cantor has been getting under the skin of a few people lately. Like the House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, The Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and yes even POTUS himself Barack Hussein Obama, Mmmmm! Mmmmm! Mmmmm!

Could it be that Mr. Cantor has been actully standing up for what most of us would like to see the Federal Governmnet do and that is "CUT SPENDING!!!" Could it also be that Mr. Cantor is actully making a stand against and saying "NO NEW TAXES!!!"

If that is true then I tip my hat to Mr. Cantor for a job well done so far.

Hezbollah In Mexico

Tucson Police Department memo from September 2010 has been leaked onto the Internet by hackers, and it warns that Hezbollah has linked up with the Mexican drug lords, and may have a large arms stockpile in the country.

From Frontpage Magazine:

The memo recalls that a member of Hezbollah was arrested in Tijuana in July 2010
who was tasked with setting up a network for the terrorist group. It also mentions the April 2010 arrest of Jamal Yousef in New York City, who told the authorities that he worked with his cousin to steal weapons from Iraq for Hezbollah.

According to Yousef, a stockpile of 100 M-16 assault rifles, 100 AR-15
rifles, 2500 hand grenades, C4 explosives and anti-tank weapons is presently in
Mexico.

The police document says there is a “strong suspicion” that car bombs set off by
the drug lords last summer were created with the help of Hezbollah. On June 23
of last year, Rep. Sue Myrick said that a senior Mexican military officer
informed her that Hezbollah was giving explosives training to members of the
drug cartels. “This might lead to Israel-like car bombings of Mexican/USA border
personnel or National Guard units in the border regions,” her letter to the
Department of Homeland Security cautioned. Myrick’s warning was prescient. In
the first week of July 2010, a car bomb killed four people in Ciudad Juarez that
had “Hezbollah-like sophistication.” Car bombs have become part of the drug war
since then.

Michael Braun, a former Drug Enforcement Agency chief of
operations, said in 2009 that the group utilizes “the same criminal weapons
smugglers, document traffickers and transportation experts as the drug cartels.”
During his July 7 testimony to Congress, Roger Noriega, former assistant
secretary of state for the Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs, predicted that
Iran and Hezbollah will carry out an attack on the U.S. using their networks in
Latin America.

“If our government and responsible partners in Latin
America fail to act, I believe there will be an attack on U.S. personnel,
installations or interests in the Americas as soon as Hezbollah operatives
believe that they are capable of such an operation without implicating their
Iranian sponsors in the crime,” Noriega said.

Hezbollah isn’t the only terrorist organization salivating at the instability in Mexico. In February 2010, Anthony Joseph Tracy was arrested in Virginia for his links to al-Shabaab, an al-Qaeda affiliate in Somalia. He is thought to have smuggled at least 270 Somalis into the U.S. through Mexico, few of which have been located or even identified. It is very likely that a number of these Somalis are al-Shabaab operatives, given Tracy’s involvement with the terrorist group. Mexico has
arrested and released members of al-Shabaab on their way to the U.S. before.

Another member of a Somali terrorist network was arrested in San
Antonio. He admitted that he is a member of the al-Ittihad al-Islami terrorist
group and also works with al-Barakat. From June 2006 to March 2008, he made at
least $3,000 for each person he snuck into the U.S., earning up to $75,000 in a
single day. He confirmed smuggling members of al-Ittihad al-Islami, and was
recorded saying that “he believed they would fight against the U.S. if the jihad
moved from overseas locations to the U.S. mainland.”

The South American
terrorist group called the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (often
referred to as the FARC) has also gotten in on the action. The FARC’s former

The Central Virginia Mustang Club had the honor of meeting Col. Folsom at Richmond Ford. Many of us made donations and signed his 2011 Ford Shelby Mustang GT500. Richmond Ford also gave a generous donation along with many of their employees.

The blogspot Ironicsurrealism confirms this news from ‘The Peoria Chronicle’ that has the eyewitness account from Paul Wilkinson, president of the Altamont Park Neighborhood Association:

Peorians living in fear: Tonight [June 25th, 2011], around 11 p.m., a group of at least 60-70 African American youth marched down one of the side streets (W. Thrush) to the 4 lane main drag (Sheridan). They were yelling threats to white residents. Things such as we need to kill all the white people around here. They were physically intimidating anyone calling for help from the police. They were surrounding cars. Cars on the main drag had to slam on their brakes to either avoid the youth blocking not only all four lanes, but a large section of the side street as well. fights were breaking out among them. They were rushing residents who looked out their doors, going on to porches, yelling threats to people calling the police for help.

Cars were doing U turns on the streets just to avoid the mob, mostly male. One youth stated his grandfather was white and several assaulted him on the spot. One police officer answered the call. The youth split into two large groups, one heading north, the other south. They were also yelling racial threats to the police officer but he was outnumbered. Another police car did not show up until after the youth finally dispersed and the patty wagon (van) also eventually showed up.

Residents are very shaken, both black and white alike. This is the fifth large mob action in about a month with smaller groups of 10-12 are out threatening children and adults a few evenings a week or later into the night. The times vary, even occuring during the day. In talking to the police officer, they are short staffed. Residents were advised to simply keep inside and to lock their doors. In other words buckle down, it’s not even safe to sit on your porch or go into your yards.

Virginia Lt. Governor, Bill Bolling said that Mitt Romney is the only Republican presidential candidate who can win in 2012, and that he will be chairman of Romney’s campaign in Virginia just as he was in 2008.

Ken Cuccinelli Urges Pastors to Speak Out Politically

Pilot Online reports that Ken Cuccinelli, Virginia's attorney general urged pastors and other church leaders to speak out politically, telling them that failure to do so concedes the battle over Christian values to "the other side."

"You can speak to any issue in America from the pulpit, full-throated, ears pinned back," Ken Cuccinelli told about 250 clergy at a "Christian Citizenship and Godly Government" breakfast an event sponsored by the Virginia Christian Alliance.

Donald Blake, chairman of the Richmond-based conservative organization, said Cuccinelli was invited to speak because church leaders are looking for assurance that they can talk about political issues without risking their tax-exempt status.

They can, Cuccinelli said, as long as they are careful to avoid explicitly endorsing or advocating the defeat of a candidate on behalf of the church. Pastors can endorse candidates personally as long as they make clear that their church affiliation is given just for identification purposes, he said.

Cuccinelli said it's common for Christians to think "politics is dirty" and avoid getting involved. When that happens, he said: "You just left the field to the other side."

"Pull out a map of Virginia and look where the abortion clinics are," Cuccinelli said. "That doesn't make you mad? You're a calmer person than I am. It makes me mad."

self-indulgence of Obamanomics, America is mortally vulnerable to another
recession at any time soon. The result would be precisely the national
bankruptcy of Greece, where we cannot raise in the world credit markets the
further debt to finance what will be well over half of our budgeted federal
spending. We are already borrowing and adding to the debt to finance 43% of our
federal spending today.

That is bad enough for a puny, insignificant nation like Greece, where riots increasingly leave the government dysfunctional, with the EU likely to take over the country effectively. US Gives Netanyahu Ultimatum

The website Haaretz, posted that Israel Radio reported Sunday that the US gave Netanyahu an ultimatum on renewing negotiations with the Palestinians. The ulimation is that Netanyahu has to decide within a month whether he agrees to accept Obama’s proposal and resume talks based on 1967 lines. Obama's proposal calls for negotiating over borders and security first, while deferring issues such as Jerusalem and the refugees until later.

'An Israeli source said the Americans were very frustrated with Netanyahu’s
behavior, feeling that he was impeding America’s efforts to keep the
Palestinians from unilaterally seeking UN recognition of a state in September.

Netanyahu’s personal envoy, Isaac Molho, spent last week in
Washington, where the Americans told Molho that to block European
initiatives such as France’s proposal for an international peace conference in
Paris, they must have something concrete to offer, like Netanyahu‘s agreement to
negotiate on the basis of Obama’s speech.

An Israeli source who maintains close ties with both senior U.S. officials and people close to Netanyahu said that Washington‘s frustration began with Netanyahu’s trip to Washington last month, when he publicly fought with Obama and then refused in an address to Congress to endorse the president’s outline for talks. The Americans
were now speaking very harshly of Netanyahu, said the source.

“He’s asking us to protect him in September, but he isn’t giving us any tools with
which to help him,” the source quoted one American official as saying. “Instead
of helping us, he’s making it harder for us.” As a result, American officials
complained, Obama was unable to get Britain and France to commit to opposing a
unilateral Palestinian move when he visited Europe last month.

European diplomats said Netanyahu’s speech to Congress was viewed in Europe as one long “no” and had thus increased European distrust of him. “We want to hear Netanyahu say he‘s willing to negotiate on the basis of Obama’s speech and that he’ll discuss borders based on the 1967 lines with land swaps,” said one diplomat.

Since the barren talks with Molho last week, the White House has been
upping the pressure on Netanyahu. On Friday, Steve Simon, who heads the U.S.
National Security Council’s Middle East desk, told American Jewish leaders that
Netanyahu needs to reply within a month to the U.S. proposal for restarting

The new age of civility seems to be getting off to a rocky start. This video was brought to my attention and is both disturbing and a little shocking because I felt that even in Virginia there was still civility with in the political process, but I guess I was being optimistic.

New Federal Tax Code

With a debt over 14 Trillion dollars, yes I said 14 Trillion, Now 14 Trillion looks like this… $14,000,000,000,000, leaves you with the question “Where do you start?” In my humble opinion you start with the Federal Tax Code. The KEY to taking back our country is getting control of our money.

Tackling the Federal Tax Code is actually very simple. You SCRAP the existing system. The current Federal Tax Code is over 64,000 pages thick and is full of corruption and it needs to be REPLACED with a new Federal Tax Code that I believe should be what is commonly known as a Value Added Tax (VAT). I prefer to call it what it is a National Sales Tax. Now this is not a new idea but I believe it could be the answer to our dysfunctional tax code.

The National Sales Tax will replace ALL Federal Taxes, Fees and any revenue enhancement programs excluding Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid. Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid has to be addressed separately which I will go into at another time.

So how will this National Sales Tax work?

The National Sale Tax

The National Sales Tax (NST) should have a range between 1% to 5% at the point of sale with NO EXCEPTIONS and NO EXCLUSIONS. I suggest a 5% NST. For example let’s use that ear of corn you just bought at the grocery store as an example.

When the Farmer bought the seed, fertilizer, herbicide, etc. that he would need to plant his corn crop he would pay a 5% NST.

After the corn is harvested the Wholesaler would pay a 5% NST on the Farmer’s corn crop.

When the Grocery Store Chain buy’s a supply of corn from the Wholesaler they would pay a 5% NST.

That ear of corn you picked out in the produce section of the Grocery Store you will pay a 5% NST.

Of course all the NST paid by the Farmer, Wholesaler and Grocery Store Chain may be included in the price you pay for that ear of corn. You may ask, “Is that right?” The answer is yes.

All of the actual or estimated taxes that the Farmer, Wholesaler and Grocery Store Chain will pay under the current Federal Tax Code are included in the price of that ear of corn. So nothing will change when it comes to passing the cost of doing business.

What will the NST apply to?

The NST applies to all aspects of the U.S. economy. Which means it will apply to agriculture, industry, finance, service, investments, energy, etc., remember I said NO EXCEPTIONS and NO EXCLUSIONS. For example it will apply to Houses, Cars, Bubble Gum, Insurance Policy’s, Lawyer Fees, Gasoline, Food, Medicine, Stocks, Doctor Bill’s, etc. Do you get the picture now?

What is the advantage of the NST over a Flat Tax or the Fair Tax?

As stated above the NST will not exceed 5% at all levels of purchase and applies to all sales without exception. Your income is NOT TAXED!

The Flat Tax of 10% to 20%, which ever rate they decide on will still tax your income and require you to file a return every year just like you do now. Most if not all of the exceptions are eliminated. Check the following link for more information.

The Fair Tax resembles the NST because it does tax you when you buy something. The problem with the Fair Tax is that it will tax you about 25% at the retail level and will have some exceptions and exclusions. Check the following link for more information.

How do we keep Congress from raising the NST rate or creating new taxes?

We all know that Congress will do their best to raise the NST rate or will create new taxes weather we like it or not so they can spend more money on their pet projects. How do we stop it? It will take a Constitutional Amendment to guarantee that Congress will not pervert the NST.

What will this Constitutional Amendment look like?

1. Repeal the 16th Amendment.

2. The NST will not exceed 5% without a National Referendum. There are two exceptions to this rule.
Exception 1: In case of a Natural Disaster Congress can enact up to a 1% increase in the NST above the 5% limit until either the public infrastructure that was damaged is replaced and paid for or it is approved by the voters on the next first Tuesday in November in a National Referendum with 60% of the vote or more.
Exception 2: In case of a Declared War by Congress, Congress can enact up to a 1% increase in the NST above the 5% limit until either the War is over and paid for or it is approved by the voters on the next first Tuesday in November in a National Referendum with 60% of the vote or more.

3. Congress CANNOT increase the NST above 5% without the prior approval of the public through a National Referendum requiring 60% of the vote or more. All increases will be limited to 1% without exception.

4. Any increase in the NST above the 5% limit CANNOT exceed 5 years. The public must re-approve the previous NST increase in a National Referendum requiring 60% of the vote or more.

5. The President will have the power of a Budget Line-Item-Veto.

6. Congress MUST maintain a Balanced Budget.

7. All Budget Deficits must be balanced with Spending Cuts.

8. All Budget Surpluses must be applied to the National Debt or in case the National Debt has been paid then it must be refunded to the citizens (above 18 years old) of the United States of America equally.

This new Constitutional Amendment if passed will Fundamentally Change the way our Federal Government works. It will literally take most of the power of taxation away from Congress and give it back to “The People”. Think about that for a minute. You will through a “National Referendum” for the first time in our history have control over your tax money.

I firmly believe that this proposed Federal Tax Code will bring in the revenue to help balance our budget along with spending cuts. I also believe that this new Federal Tax Code will allow business's to bring manufactoring back to the USA!

We must elect people who will truly reform our Federal Government.

Rep Allen West Secures $21M In Federal Grants For His District

I think maybe Rep. Allen West might need to check the tea party definition of "wasteful spending". And it pains me to say this because of the new freshmen congressmen is one of my favorites. But earlier today Rep. West announced that he has secured $21 Million federal grant for a runway project Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood Airport, in his district.

The runway project will generate at least 11,000 jobs and be complete in the fall of 2014 with an estimated budget of $791 million, the release said, noting that West worked "to ensure the funds would be allocated to the runway project."

It's not unusual for politicians to "announce" federal funding, even if projects got rolling long before they were in office. But West was among the ardent anti-government spending, pro-private sector Republicans elected in November. His office has noted that the airport money does not come from the massive stimulus package passed under President Obama.

West's office pointed out the money comes from a trust fund filled with fees on airline tickets, and emphasized that he does not oppose all government spending, just wasteful spending.

Rep. West is correct it does not come from Obama Stimulus money, it comes from "stimulus" money that was enacted in 1970, Airport and Airways Trust Fund Act.

The Airport and Airway Trust Fund (AATF) was created by the Airport and Airway Revenue Act of 1970, and provides funding for the federal commitment to the nation's aviation system through several aviation-related excise taxes (MS Excel). Funding currently comes from:

Collections related to passenger tickets
Passenger flight segments
International arrivals/departures
Cargo waybills
Aviation fuels
Frequent flyer mile awards from non-airline sources like credit cards

The Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Office of Aviation Policy and Plans (APO) monitors the health of the aviation trust fund. The APO reviews trust fund revenue collections, forecasts aviation-related activities, and models expected tax revenue collections. In addition, APO analyzes the potential effects of changes to the fund's sources or structure.

While it is not uncommon for congressmen to help get funding for projects in their home districts, it is a little odd for Rep. West who was one of the outspoken tea party representative who voted against Republican Leadership in the recent vote of the continue resolution. Rep. West was one of the last congressman I thought we would have to reminded that "We The People" are watching.

On Wednessday, Rep. Cantor hosted is semi-annual Advisory Committee Meeting, which is the opportunity to meet with his constituents. He gives a brief statement at the beginning and he than takes question from the audience. We had a great representation of Richmond Patriots at the meeting.

Obamacare: One Year Later

Yes, hard to believe it has been a year already since President Obama signed the Patient Protection and Affordability Act into law. But so much has happened (or should I say exposed) about the bill it hard to know where to begin. I suppose we could start with the two Judges ruling that the law is unconstitutional:

The first in Virginia, on December 13, 2010, Judge Hudson made this ruling:

Every application of Commerce Clause power found to be constitutionally sound by the Supreme Court involved some form of action, transaction, or deed placed in motion by an individual or legal entity," Hudson declared on page 23. "The constitutional viability of the Minimum Essential Coverage Provision in this case turns on whether or not a person's decision to refuse to purchase health care insurance is such an activity."

Hudson explains the precedents involving the Commerce Clause and its requirement that an activity be regulated. But in this case, it is the INACTIVY of people who choose NOT to buy insurance and get penalized for that decision that Hudson deemed to fall outside federal authority. "[T]he Minimum Essential Coverage Provision appears to forge new ground and extends the Commerce Clause powers beyond its current high water mark."

Then in Florida:

Judge Roger Vinson, in Pensacola, Fla., ruled that as a result of the unconstitutionality of the "individual mandate" that requires people to buy insurance, the entire law must be declared void.

"I must reluctantly conclude that Congress exceeded the bounds of its authority in passing the act with the individual mandate. That is not to say, of course, that Congress is without power to address the problems and inequities in our health care system. The health care market is more than one-sixth of the national economy, and without doubt Congress has the power to reform and regulate this market. That has not been disputed in this case. The principal dispute
has been about how Congress chose to exercise that power here," Vinson wrote.

"While the individual mandate was clearly 'necessary and essential' to the act as drafted, it is not 'necessary and essential' to health care reform in general," he continued. "Because the individual mandate is unconstitutional and not severable, the entire act must be declared void."

In addition to the court rulings, which are in appeal, A Rasmussen poll still shows 53% of Americans are in favor of repealing the law. That is exactly what the 112th House of Representatives did under the new Republican Majority, but that bill was blocked in the Democrat controlled Senate. Additionally, then Speaker Pelosi claim that “will create 4 million jobs — 400,000 jobs almost immediately." has not happened. In fact, the the CBO testified that 800,000 jobs will be lost over the next decade as a result of the law.

Let's not forget that just a few weeks ago, Rep. Bachmann uncovered the $105 Billion already appropriated in the bill. Not to mention all of the waivers that the Obama Administration is issuing has past 1000.

So, no we are not celebrating the one year anniversary of Obamacare and it seems that neither are the liberal Democrats.

Senate Will Hold Hearing On Muslim Civil Rights

The Washington Times Inside Politics Blog is reporting:

Senate Majority Whip Richard J. Durbin, Illinois Democrat, announced the subcommittee hearing Tuesday, saying there has been a spike in anti-Muslim bigotry in the last year that demands closer attention.

“Our Constitution protects the free exercise of religion for all Americans,” Mr. Durbin said. “During the course of our history, many religions have faced intolerance. It is important for our generation to renew our founding charter’s commitment to religious diversity and to protect the liberties guaranteed by our Bill of Rights.”

The hearing will be the first ever before the Judiciary Committee's new subcommittee on the Constitution, civil rights and human rights, which Democrats created this year. Mr. Durbin is the chairman of the subcommittee.

This announcement comes just a few weeks after the House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Peter King held it's first hearing on problems posed by radicalized Muslims in the United States.

Obamacare Slush Fund: Why are the Republicans fighting?

Let's see how this plays out....

About two weeks ago Rep. Michele Bachmann discovers $105 billion dollars slush fund in the Obamacare bill. First BRAVO, Rep. Bachmann for bringing this to light and despite Politifact claiming it was "barely true", the reason they stated was because Rep. Bachmann said is was a "secret" but the number was right.

But the liberal media has been attacking her for calling it “hidden” funding. In reality, Rep. Bachmann said that “practically no Member of Congress even knew that $105 billion of funding was” in the bill.

FactCheck says that this funding was known to “those who read the bill … including members of Congress.”

But does FactCheck really believe that any member of Congress read all 2,700 pages of the bill?

Do they have any evidence at all that any member of Congress knew about the $105 billion figure before CRS published their report this February?

But more importantly, in their attempted take down of Rep. Bachmann, PolitiFact, FactCheck, and The Washington Post Fact Checker all confirm her underlying charge:

the $105 billion exists.

So now we know that the slush funds exist, what to do about it? As the March 18th deadline for the current continuing resolution approaches, there was a call from Rep Bachmann and Rep King for Republican Caucus not support the next the CR unless it included the defunding of the Obamacare slush funds. Sounds good in theory but, it was discovered that the 105 billion dollar slush funds could not be defunded by including it in the CR:

At the House Rules Committee Monday, House Appropriations Committee Chairman Hal Rogers, R-K., told his colleagues that it is impossible to "defund" the $105 billion in mandatory spending approved for the health care law that Reps. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn. and Steve King, R-Iowa, are demanding.

Rogers says the problem is that the temporary spending bill is an appropriation bill, not an authorization bill. And you cannot take away "authorized" money on an appropriations bill.

"These are authorizations," Rogers said. "We can't do those on appropriations unless the authorizers pave the way for us."

Rep. Norm Dicks, D-Wash., the top Democrat on the House Appropriations Committee cautioned his colleagues against spending time on the $105 billion argument by Bachmann and King.

"The chances of this [health repeal] are De minimis at best," Dicks said.

Even with this 54 Republicans broke with leadership and voted against the continueing resolution, which it cut federal spending another $6 billion dollars.

The latest House continuing resolution cuts or eliminates 25 programs, many already identified for elimination by the White House in its budget for FY 2012. In addition to $3.5 billion in program cuts, the House plan also zeros out $2.6 billion for member projects or earmarks. It cuts in three weeks what Senate Democrats proposed cutting over six months. The current two-week continuing resolution cut $4 billion from 2010 levels.

“Enactment of this short-term measure would mean $10 billion in cuts in just five weeks, which is $10 billion more than the Democrats who run Washington originally suggested,” said Speaker John Boehner (R) of Ohio, in a statement after the vote. “But if we’re serious about ending uncertainty for small businesses and helping them get back to creating jobs, we need to cut a lot more.”

O.k. so that takes care of the CR, we still have the Obamacare slush fund to deal with, what about that Speaker Boehnor????

Oh, so there will be separate legislation to deal with the defunding of the slush funds. It's a procedures, it is strategy, it making sure things are done right. It seems to me that Rep. Bachmann and Rep. King should probably have know this, wonder why they are organizing against leadership, Are they grandstanding? Well, it they are it seems that the tea party movement is biting hook, line and sinker.

Why not blame Bush, too: Tea Party Anger Seems Misplaced

Wasn't it the Obama/Pelosi/Reid $787 Billion Dollar economic "stimulus package" in Feb 2009 that started the whole tea party movement? Remember the infamous rant on CNBC. So it was a little perplexing to read the article in RTD "Virginia Tea Party "disappointed" with Cantor".

It's perplexing because apparently, tea party activist claim House Majority Leader Cantor is not cutting "enough" spending.

"We are extremely disappointed in Eric Cantor, but not surprised," Mark K. Lloyd, chairman of the federation, said in a news release. "The will of the American people was pretty clear in November — cut, cut, cut spending. Apparently, Eric Cantor's 'conversion' to fiscal restraint was only temporary."

"Anger and dissatisfaction with [Cantor] is very high in the Virginia Tea Party movement."

"It's hard for us to understand why there's a vote against any amendment. We want to see a yes vote on all cuts," said Susan Lascolette, a Goochland County resident with the Richmond Tea Party. "To us, it seems like a no-brainer. Why would you not vote for that?"

Lascolette said the House leadership, including Cantor, is on the right track, but "we want to poke them and keep them moving."

The House Republicans did however pass the "single largest spending cut in modern history" according to Cantor spokesperson Megan Whittemore, but it was rejected by the Democrat controlled Senate. As I recall, Virginia's two senators are democrats and it is not uncommon for tea party activist to protest outside their local offices. In fact here is a picture of me outside Senator Warner's office 2009:

Maybe I missed the memo that called for protest outside of Senator Webb and Warner's office demanding they vote for house bill (HR 1) that calls for $61 billion dollars in spending cuts. Last week, Senator Warner admitted we have a debt problem, so it might not be that hard to refocus and start blaming Senator Warner who's website stated:

Senator Warner will vote against the House spending proposal because it is short-sighted and could harm the country’s economic competitiveness.

To me that is the no-brainer, the democrats in the Senate are blocking the House Budget cuts, let's place the blame were it belongs.

Melvin Bledsoe, Father of "Home Grown Terrorist" Testifies Today

Rep. Peter King (R-NY), chairman of the Homeland Security Committee opened hearings today on Islamic radicalization in the U.S. The hearing has re-ignited a national debate over how to combat homegrown terrorism. The Obama administration is trying to frame the debate around radicalization in general, without singling out Muslims. Rep. King, the New York Republican who called the hearing, said that's just political correctness, since al-Qaida is the main threat to the U.S. Rep. King opened the hearing with this statement:

"Homegrown radicalization is part of al-Qaida's strategy to continue attacking the United States."

Melvin Bledsoe, whose son Carlos converted to Islam while away at college and is charged with killing an Army private at a recruiting station in Little Rock, Ark., testified about his son's conversion and his isolation from his family. In his prepared statement he claims:

"Carlos was captured by people best described as hunters. He was manipulated and lied to," he blames "the Islamic radicals who programmed and trained my son Carlos to kill."

"I have other family members who are Muslims, and they are modern, peaceful, law abiding people," Bledsoe's remarks say.

Sen. Warner Admits We Have A Debt Problem

Recently, Senator Warner, speaking to the Virginia Chamber of Commerce, made the following statements:

"If we put this off, we are approaching financial Armageddon .... We don't need another study, we need to start."

"Every dollar we spend right now, we have to go into the international markets and borrow 40 cents on that dollar,"

Senator Warner (VA-D) and Senator Chambliss (GA-R) have been working "under the radar" since December on a plan to tackle the debt by cutting it $4 trillion dollars over the next 10 years. An outline of the plan includes reducing taxes, simplifying tax code and insuring solvency of social security.

Yet, I have to question how serious is Senator Warner. He has voted AGAINST the house spending proposal stating that they were "short-sighted" and would harm "our country's competitiveness".

In this floor speech, Sen Warner made references to the dis-proportionate number of federal employees and private contractor in "his state" and that temporary two-week budgets don't create a stable environment.

Well, I agree, but Sen Warner seems to be forgetting the House Budget proposals are not long term. At this point they are merely trying to fund the federal budget for the next 6 months. So, Senator Warner help us stop the bleeding and vote for the house proposals. In the meantime, we wait eager for your comprehensive $4 Trillion dollar plan.

GOP Plans To Cut Spending 2 Billion per Week

Last week the House and Senate agreed on a continuing resolution to temporarily fund the federal government until March 18th. This gives the House Republican Leaders and the Senate Democrat Leader two weeks to come up with a long term plan. However, it seems that they are no closer on settling on a budget that would fund the remaining 6 months of the fiscal year.

The GOP leadership, Speaker Boehner and Majority Leader Cantor, do have a plan that could put the Senate Democrats in the hot seat and keep their promise to cut 100 billion dollars from the budget.

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va., said if no long-term deal is reached by March 18, Republicans are prepared to keep passing two-week funding measures that would cut $2 billion per week. At that rate, Republicans would still be able to achieve their campaign pledge to cut $100 billion from President Obama's proposed 2011 budget, Cantor said.

This move would help avoid a government shutdown provided that the Senate Democrats go along with it. And if they don't it will put the any shutdown squarely on Senator Reid's shoulders, who stated the following:

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., called the Republican proposal "one of the worst pieces of legislation that we have drafted in the history of this Congress,"

Among the cuts proposed by the house republicans are de-funding of health care reform law and de-funding of Planned Parenthood. You can read the entire Budget bill (H.R.1) on Thomas.gov.

"Coattails": A Political Reality in Virginia 2012

The U.S. Senate seats have a term of 6 years. What this means in Virgina is that every presidential election cycle will also include one of our U.S. Senate seats. In 2008, it was the seat that is now held by Sen. Mark Warner (D). Why is this important? Well as Larry Sabato has stated "Without a doubt, it is the tight Senate contests that can be most affected by the top of the ticket." And by top ticket he means who ever wins the presidential election for the state.

Since the announcement of Senator Jim Webb not to seek re-election this puts a new sense of urgency for the Republicans to come up with a strong candidate. The reason, Obama is still polling strong in Virginia and the possibility that Former Gov. and DNC Chairman Tim Kaine will be the likely choice for the Democrat Nominee. Right now the Republican candidates that have announced are George Allen, Jamie Radtke and Davide McCormick. George Allen has the edge polling at 67%. While some argue it is because of his name recognition, which is true, he also has a voting record and experience as a legislator. But all of this is beside the point.

The point we need to understand, we need strong presidential candidates for there to be "coattails" to ride. Not that it is the ONLY factor, but it does not hurt. Larry Sabato, also, noted:

Other than Nelson in Nebraska, there are quite a few 2012 contests almost certain to be substantially influenced by the downdraft from the presidential race, including but not restricted to Florida (Sen. Bill Nelson-D), Massachusetts (Sen. Scott Brown-R), Missouri (Sen. Claire McCaskill-D), Montana (Sen. Jon Tester-D), Nevada (Sen. John Ensign-R), North Dakota (open seat of Sen. Kent Conrad-D), Ohio (Sen. Sherrod Brown-D), and Virginia (open seat of Sen. Jim Webb-D).

My concern at this point, there is no front runner, yes I know we are still two years out, but President Obama has never stopped campaigning and has kept many of his promises... as in "energy cost will necessary skyrocket". And as absurd as it sounds to most conservatives, he WAS elected and he WON Virginia.

The good news, we won't have to relive a Allen-Webb rematch, the bad news Obama is still president.

This week the House and Senate has passed a 2 week continuing resolution that included $4 Billion in spending cuts, but no cuts entitlements. So, in the next two weeks, it will be interesting to watch the Senate Democrats, as they will be the ones to hold up any budget cuts that the house passes.
